Central Ohio high school students who are interested in direct admission to medical school or º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s Physician Assistant Studies program are invited to attend a special virtual information session from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12.
During the free informational event, students will have an opportunity to learn about º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s Early Assurance Programs into the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program. In order to be considered for the Physician Assistant Studies Early Assurance Program, students who plan on enrolling at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ in fall 2024 must submit applications by Nov. 1, 2023. Students who would like to be considered for the Med School Early Assurance Program upon starting at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ in fall 2024 must submit applications by Jan. 10, 2024.
º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s Early Assurance Programs provide qualified high school graduates with an opportunity to secure guaranteed placement in graduate-level programs at the same time of their acceptance to º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½. As part of the program, students must maintain high academic standards.

Med School Early Assurance Program
Through º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½â€™s exclusive partnership with Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) eligible students can complete their Doctor of Osteopathy in as few as seven years. Students accepted into the program are able to follow one of the two tracks to completion, either a 3+4 track that allows them to attend º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ for three years, then complete their remaining credits for a bachelor’s degree during their first year at OU-HCOM, or a 4+4 track in which students complete their º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ degree prior to attending medical school at Ohio University’s main campus in Athens or its satellite campuses in Cleveland or Dublin, Ohio.
